Aras Cellulose Azhand Khoy Paper Manufacturing Plant

Testliner Paper

Araz Cellulose Azhand Khoy

Testliner paper is produced entirely from recycled fibers. During its manufacturing process, it incorporates additives such as starch (applied as sizing on one or both sides of the paper), sizing agents (only on one side), and other additives for filling and coloring.

Testliner paper is primarily used in the construction of corrugated board. Typically, three types of paper are used in corrugated board production: testliner paper for the outer layer, fluting paper for the middle (corrugated) layer, and liner paper for the inner layer.

Key Technical Specifications

Testliner paper used as the top layer of corrugated board has specific technical characteristics. For instance, the water absorption of its top layer is lower than its bottom layer.

  • Lower water absorption on the top layer helps protect the carton from absorbing environmental moisture and enhances its printability.
  • Higher water absorption on the bottom layer ensures better adhesion to the fluting paper.

Additionally, testliner paper offers suitable surface resistance for high-quality printability. Given its quality, it can be used interchangeably as both the outer and inner layers of a carton.

Testliner paper produced by Araz Cellulose Azhand Khoy utilizes recycled raw materials (“Akhal”) with minimal impurities, positioning it as an environmentally friendly product. This type of paper is considered one of the highest quality products manufactured in Iran.
